When connecting your radio to the computer using a USB cable, if the proper driver for your radio has not been previously installed, Windows will automatically search the internet and install a " generic" driver to create the Virtual USB Com Port needed to allow the computer to access the CAT system of the radio. Note: Never connect your radio or other peripherals using a USB cable to your computer prior to installing the proper driver recommended or supplied by the equipment manufacturer Follow the manufacturer's instructions to install the drivers, or, if you have problems locating or installing the drivers, please contact the device manufacturer's support team for assistance. Connecting the cable before installing the proper driver could result in a "Generic" driver being installed by Windows which could result in issues later. Insure you have installed the Virtual Com Port drivers for your radio or interface before connecting the USB Cable to the computer. This method requires a Virtual Com Port driver, which can be downloaded from the radio manufacturer's website. The USB interface provides for Rig Control and an Audio Codec for the radio's internal soundcard. If the cable you are currently using or plan to use doesn't have the ferrite chokes, it's recommended you purchase some of the "snap-on" chokes that are available from or on eBay and attach them to the cable you are using. These chokes help prevent RF radiation, which may be present in any shack, from feeding back into the computer, which can sometimes cause some very strange behavior in the HRD software.

Possibility to use Bluetooth devices, also to connect with car hands-free system Audio quality (mike and speaker) very good and without latency I was testing this app during one month with my FT-991 and Samsung A8 cell phone. (As you can see I have bought all the avalable products to connect with my FT-991 but. Its' frustating.īesides Remoterig PC-Micro I have tested with RRC-1258 control unit and with the RRC-Nano. Also CAT command PS0 to switch off the radio but after this, with the radio switched off, command PS1 doesn't work. If I switch on radio manually (pushing ON/OFF button on the radio) CAT commands are sent and receveid OK. I sent PS1 command (50 53 31 3B in hexadecimal) but answer is No Reply Comunication via COM port is stabilized OK, also with radio switched off. I have tested with HRD CAT command tester tool. In both case, with HRD and with Remoterig, the switch off command works OK. In this case HRD is not comunicating with the radio, only remoterig. If I set parameter "Yaesu Power on/off" to yes in Avanced seting of Remoterig configuration pannel it also doesn't work. I don't think that the problem cames from CAT command send by HRD to switch on the radio.
